Knowing this was to be a big old fancy wedding, I was very excited about the dress I was going to wear. If you recall, I dyed my "not so wedding-y" wedding dress a pretty sea foam green and made this necklace and earrings to go with it:
I had lost some weight since my wedding (yay!) and decided to have the dress taken in by a local seamstress. In a rush, I grabbed my dress and left the dry cleaners confident in her ability to have performed her job. After we drove the 8 hours to the wedding I decided to try the dress on. (*&(^(*&*((!!!! It did not fit. IT DID NOT FIT!!!! It was about 3 inches apart from zipping up. I freaked out for about an hour. Then I got perspective, um... not my wedding. Luckily I had back up in the form of this pretty little frock I had brought for the welcome reception and I had another dress to back that up. That's the good thing about driving....no luggage limit. Here is the end result:
Eric and I all gussied up!
The End!
(stayed tuned for the post about the bridesmaid's jewelry;)
