Once Upon A Time.....A Wedding Story.....

Once upon a time, in a land called Charleston, I attended the fairy tale wedding most little girls dream of. Down to the last detail it was beautifully pulled together, romantic, full of tears and laughter and most importantly a blast for everyone involved! It was basically a romantic comedy of a wedding complete with broken down golf carts and a last minute ring scare ending with everyone tearing up (including the handsome groom) when the breathtakingly beautiful bride arrived in a horse drawn carriage.

Knowing this was to be a big old fancy wedding, I was very excited about the dress I was going to wear. If you recall, I dyed my "not so wedding-y" wedding dress a pretty sea foam green and made this necklace and earrings to go with it:

I had lost some weight  since my wedding (yay!) and decided to have the dress taken in by a local seamstress. In a rush, I grabbed my dress and left the dry cleaners confident in her ability to have performed her job. After we drove the 8 hours to the wedding I decided to try the dress on. (*&(^(*&*((!!!! It did not fit. IT DID NOT FIT!!!! It was about 3 inches apart from zipping up. I freaked out for about an hour. Then I got perspective, um... not my wedding. Luckily I had back up in the form of this pretty little frock I had brought for the welcome reception and I had another dress to back that up. That's the good thing about luggage limit. Here is the end result:

Eric and I all gussied up!

The End!

(stayed tuned for the post about the bridesmaid's jewelry;)
